RIVER EN HIVER

No, river is not the French word for—river, but I am going to pretend anyhow. My friends and I decided a leisurely hike was in order for the morning. There are some places in Baltimore that are great hiking spots. But I must say, for the James river, Richmond has Baltimore beat. I was a little cold and muddy but there was just the right amount of fresh air needed to fill our school-suffocated lungs. And thankfully, despite my friend, Bailey’s insistence to leave her behind for fear of falling into the water while climbing rocks, no one went home dripping. And what’s better, we immediately celebrated our successful hike with a hearty meal.

While I do love the lush, lime leaves of Spring to dress these trees, they sure are beautiful being buck bare! —Shameful Alliteration

The best part about an overcast day is getting to match the white light to the white-caped rapids of the river to my white workout top. This is prime aesthetic, instagram-worthy, blogger’s delight, photo magic happening here!
