Whenever I see my family again after being away at college for a while, I go through a short period of getting reacquainted with them every time. Once I get passed all of the annoying parts of reunion, including my mother asking a million questions about college that seem so obvious to me, my little brother seeming so selfish to me in all of his actions as he is the younger sibling, and my father proving to be the most ineffective mediator that ever existed, I realize how much I missed them. Yesterday, my family picked me up from university and we drove down to the Outer Banks in North Carolina to celebrate a very low-key Thanksgiving.

My puppy is also with me which turns any break, even a humble two day one into pure happiness. I got to walk her on the beach today and run her in the sand with her tennis ball. Despite it being a little rainy outside, looking at her little drowned rat face(because it was raining) just makes my heart sing!

I have so much to be thankful for in my life and I hope the same and more for everyone else as well. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, please enjoy family, food, and this wonderful life we are living:)

We are staying in a rental sandwiched between the sand dunes of Jockey’s Ridge and our beloved North Carolinian beach. And the sky here is just consistently beautiful!
The sky almost doesn’t look real. Pictured above is my brother on the left and my father in the middle. My mother was taking the photo.
